Eventually I’ll expand this into a better article, but just wanted to share some images for now. I only had a single roll of film loaded into my Medalist, and I should have known better.
For now, please enjoy some images of the Joseph Petarde house. Joseph Petarde was an italian sculptor who immigrated to Peoria after being trained in Europe as a sculptor. His statues dot the Peoria area, and are a treat to track down. Some examples can be seen at the G.A.R. Hall, and the historic Springdale Cemetery.
The Springdale Cemetery has put together a short video about his life here.

The link to the Springdale video goes to a something on water fasting!

Thanks Rebecca, somehow the link must have gotten broken. I’ve fixed it now.

Thank You so much for providing this YouTube video. It opens up a lot more things to read up on. My ancestors are buried there. The Gerbers . They owned Gerber meat market. That is in the first Peoria memories book 😁😍
