The Princess Theater of Beardstown, Illinois, opened in 1918 deep in the heart of the silent movie era.
Some of the movies that came out that year (from Wikipedia):
- The Cook, a ‘Fatty’ Arbuckle/Buster Keaton short
- Hearts of the World, directed by D.W. Griffith
- My Four Years in Germany, the first film produced by the four Warner Brothers
The theater closed in 1966 and does not appear to have ever reopened.
